Why "from €2,500" instead of a fixed price?

Fixed pricing only works when scope is standard. Custom by definition isn't: a basic online store with 50 products costs very differently than a multi-vendor marketplace with a configurator. €2,500 is the realistic floor for a minimal custom project (informational site with one complex integration, for example). Most real projects run between €4,000 and €15,000. The quote comes after the discovery session (1-3 meetings, free), where we define scope, integrations, and timelines. From there, the price is fixed (not hourly) unless you change scope mid-project. If scope grows, we renegotiate before continuing, not after.

Question 2

What kinds of automations and AI integrations do you build?

Custom automations on top of the tools your team already uses (Notion, Airtable, Slack, HubSpot, Stripe, Google Workspace, etc.) and AI integrations focused on specific problems: internal assistants trained on your documentation, automatic lead or ticket classification, draft generation for email/content (human-reviewable), and automated analysis of data your team currently processes manually. What I don't do: resell generic AI SaaS subscriptions. If what you need is enterprise ChatGPT, Notion AI, or similar, you save money subscribing directly. Custom applies when you need something specific to your business that off-the-shelf tools don't cover — for example, an assistant that answers product-catalog questions by querying your database in real time, not something any company can use.

How long does a custom project take?

Depends on scope. Standard online store: 6-10 weeks. Booking system or client portal: 8-12 weeks. Bespoke application or marketplace: 12-24 weeks. An ERP integration with an existing system adds 2-4 weeks depending on the complexity of the ERP's API. Timelines assume requirements are clear at start. If scope changes mid-project (common in custom), we renegotiate timeline and price. I work in 1-2 week sprints with a demo at the end, so there are no surprises at launch — you see progress week by week.

Question 4

Is the code mine at the end?

Accepted Answer

Yes, 100%. The code is delivered to your repository (GitHub, GitLab, your choice), with no proprietary licenses, no lock-in to my services. Any developer can continue the work. Full technical documentation included. Recommended hosting is Vercel or your provider of choice (Hetzner, OVH, AWS, etc.). If you use external services (Stripe, database, transactional email), the accounts are yours under your billing, not mine. I'm a developer, not a gateway controlling your business.

What about maintenance after launch?

Three options: monthly maintenance (€120-€500/month by complexity) covers dependencies, monitoring, patches; evolution retainer (€150-€500/month) covers planned changes and new features; hourly work with no commitment for one-off changes. You pick by your business pace. For critical applications (high-volume e-commerce, marketplaces, portals with customer data), I recommend monthly maintenance at minimum — problems don't announce themselves. For more static custom sites, hourly is usually enough. We define this at project end based on real complexity.

Do you work with agencies or only direct clients?

Both. For agencies, typically as a white-label subcontractor: you handle the client relationship, I build. For direct clients, you work directly with me, no middlemen. Rates and terms are similar in both cases because the work is the same. If you're an agency needing technical reinforcement for a one-off project, I can fit into your team for the duration. If your client prefers direct relationship with the developer (common in critical projects), that works too. We define this before starting.

Question 7

What if I cancel the project mid-way?

Exit clause in every contract: if you decide to stop the project at any point, I deliver everything completed up to that date (code, designs, documentation). You pay only for completed work, not the project total. Shared risk, not all on you. For longer projects, I plan intermediate payment milestones (typically every 2-4 weeks aligned with feature milestones) so neither of us takes disproportionate risk. If the project changes plans mid-way for business reasons, there's no penalty — reality changes.
